Does anyone work outside in Phoenix AZ . in the summer time ?
I have a job offer in Phoenix AZ. It pays very well but I will be outside most of the time. Do you get used to the heat or does everyone working outside suffer in the summer?

You should go into work earlier in the morning and get off around 2-3pm. My husband works construction in Phoenix. He moved here from cold wASHINGTON STATE. He's worked outside here for 4 years now. He got heat exastion once. He drinks about 2 gallons of water a day. You will get used to the heat. The bad part is the humidity.

Almost everyone I know who works outside (I know a few), work from 4 or 5 or 6am until no later than 2:30pm., because it hot outside. (100 degrees + normally), the preferred schedule is start time 4 or 5am ending no later than 1:30 or 2pm. Even so, it's still hot, but if these folks do it, then it's do-able.
